What is Chinese Ceremonial Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder Principal TZ-M-101?
Chinese Ceremonial Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder Principal TZ-M-101 is the finely ground powder of specially grown and processed green tea leaves. It is the highest Ceremonial grade of TIZAN organic Matcha, TZ-M-101 has a more intense sweetness and deeper flavor than the standard or coarser qualities of tea harvested later in the year.
The green tea plants are shade-grown for three to four weeks before harvest. The tea leaves slow down growth, stimulates an increase in chlorophyll levels, turns the leaves a darker shade of green, and causes amino acids, particularly theanine. After harvest, the leaves are briefly steamed and dried, known as Tencha. Finally, only the pure leaves are left, and remove all stems. Then, grind Tencha to the fine powder, bright green powder known as Matcha.
